Amazing clients have allowed us to support their businesses as they grow and flourish

“I am a CPA in Portland Oregon with a busy practice. Jenn and I have been working together for the last 20 years. Jenn has worked on most of my clients’ books over the years, and she is the best bookkeeper I know.

Jenn is a highly accomplished accountant and is a wonderful communicator. Jenn will take good care of you and your bookkeeping and business needs.

Jenn is more than a bookkeeper, she is an experienced manager and organizer and she understands higher level accounting issues, something missing in most bookkeepers I have worked with.

You are in good hands with Jenn, she is smart, funny, and very business savvy.”

- Leslie Yudin, CPA

“Jenn and I met through a mutual friend who is also a fellow realtor and she is the reason why I am so organized. I didn’t even have Quickbooks yet when we starting working together. She helped me get my systems in place along with helping me make future decision on how to structure my business. Her service is invaluable and because she is a GREAT human and lovely person, she is also considered one of my dearest friends. I enjoy spending time with her and always enjoy our bookkeeping days together. You can’t go wrong with Jenn and I highly recommend her. Five star service at its best!”

— Lauren Sheehan, Owner Sheehan Home Group

“Black Ink Books takes the stress and worries out of our bookkeeping needs. Jenn massages our books monthly- balances, reconciles, and performs the magic where we have missed entries. Also, her past experience in tax prep lays the groundwork for an easy end-of-year upload of our books to our CPA. I sum up Black Ink in two words, worry-free.”

Where the name comes from…

In the past, before Quickbooks, and Excel, ledgers were used to record sales, expenses, and banking transactions. Red ink was used to record debits, losses, and debts, while black was used to record income and positive transactions. From this came the saying “in the black” (profitable) or “in the red” (operating at a loss). Black Ink Books is a nod to bookkeeping days of yore, and may we always help your business be “in the black”.

We’d love to work with you.
